This 10-days wonderful trip in Thailand is a perfect combination for family trip. You will spend the first 7-days of the journey to discover the Thai’s culture and tradition through the famous sites from Bangkok to Chiang Mai as well as join in some interesting activities which are suitable for the kids. And your whole family will spend the last 4-days together at one of the beautiful beaches in Krabi. The most famous local temples are the must-visit during your time in Bangkok and Chiang Mai.

Itinerary
Day 1: Bangkok arrival
Upon arrival at the international airport in Bangkok and after clearing immigration and customs, then meet with your guide with a welcome signboard and transfer to your hotel in the downtown for check-in and relaxation. Overnight in Bangkok
Day 2: Bangkok full day city tour with Wat Phra Keo, Grand Palace, Wat Arun and night tour (B/L/-)
After breakfast, start your visit to Wat Phra Keo, the beautiful Emerald Buddha temple, the exquisite temple contains an image of Buddha carved from a single piece of jade and one of the most holy and revered of religious objects in Thailand, then head to the Grand Palace, the spectacular Royal Palace with intricate architectures, an area of 218,400 sq. meters and is surrounded by walls built in 1782. The length of the four walls is 1,900 meters. The Grand Palace is one of the most beautiful samples of an ancient Siamese court with a complex of the Funeral Palace, the Reception Palace, the Throne Hall, the Coronation Hall, and the Royal Guest House. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
This afternoon, continue to take a long-tailed boat along the Chao Phraya River to see Thai lifestyle, contrast between luxurious condominiums and ruined houses along both sides of the canal. Pass the Grand Palace and the Royal Barge Museum which houses ceremonial King’s Barges decorated with multi-color glasses, gilt and stuccos. Disembark at Wat Arun – the temple of Dawn to visit the tallest prang in Thailand. It was built in the concept of Mount Meru, the resident of God located on the center of the Universe.
This evening, take an amazing night tour to see nightlife of Bangkok with Skytrain experience and enjoy magnificent views from the skyscraper. Enjoy eating delicious food at a local restaurant (your own account) before enjoy shopping chance at Asiatique The Riverfront. All transports are local. Overnight in Bangkok
Day 3: Bangkok – Lampaya weekend floating market & China Town (B/L/-)
After breakfast, drive about one hour to Lampaya Floating Market (Saturday & Sunday) – a small weekend floating market, located in Bangkok suburban area in Nakhorn Pathom Province. On the way, you can see the rice paddies, chili, lotus, flower and corn & learn more about the living way of the local Thai farmers.
Upon arrival, walk through the market where you will observe how the local residents sell their wares and local products such as fruits, vegetables, local foods, etc. from boats and floating platforms. And tasting some local food is an interesting experience if interested. Then continue walking around to explore more about the history of this Lampaya 100-years-old community with the old houses and visit a famous Buddha image called Luang Pho Mongkon Mahamalanimit enshrined at Wat Lampaya. Next, enjoy a rowing boat ride cruising about 30 mins on the Tha Chin River. Return to the Bangkok downtown for having lunch at a local restaurant.
This afternoon, enjoy a walking tour at China Town or Yaowarat, which is a bustling, crowded area where you can buy just about anything day or night. The main thoroughfare through Chinatown is Yaowarat Road, which is approximately 1.5 kilometers in length. It was built during the reign of King Rama V. On each side of the road, there is a network of streets and alleys lined with shops selling all sorts of things. Overnight in Bangkok
Day 4: Bangkok with Jim Thompson House – Afternoon flight to Chiang Mai (B/L/-)
After breakfast, check out your hotel and drive to the Jim Thompson’s House, home of the legendary Jim Thompson who was responsible for the revival of the Thai silk industry after World War II. He is also the founder of the Thai Silk Company, houses an exquisite Southeast Asian Art. Here, you will have a chance to see the wide range collection of rare Asian art and antiques such as Thai paintings, blue-white Chinaware, Sawankalok Pottery, Benjarong porcelain and Khmer statues. This extensive collection is housed in six old teak houses built in 1959 in a lush garden. The fact that he disappeared without a trace in the jungles of Malaysia in 1967 adds an aura of mystery to the old compound. Lunch is at a local restaurant.
This afternoon, transfer straight to the airport for your flight to Chiang Mai. Upon arrival, meet up with your guide and be driven to your hotel for check-in and overnight.
Day 5: Chiang Mai – Patara Elephant Farm and Night Market (B/L/-)
After breakfast, depart to the Patara Elephant Farm & take part in tour “Elephant Owner For A Day”. On arrival, you will make registration, and then get change to our training outfit, prepare for the training.
Afterwards, you will learn how to hike, track and approach your elephant in the bush, unchain the elephant, walk, feed, bathe and brush your elephant in the river. You will be trained to ride on the elephant’s neck using many different techniques with spoken commands for the elephant. Set out on a bare-back adventure and ride to a local temple, village and waterfall. You will have an opportunity to swim with your elephant. Enjoy picnic lunch today.
Afterwards, ride the elephant back to the farm and say good bye to the mahouts and everyone. Return to your hotel for refreshment.
This evening, take a visit to the bustling night market which is a place to go for souvenirs, handicrafts, fake goods, textiles, and other knickknacks. Also, if you are in Chiang Mai on the weekend, let visit Chiang Mai Weekend Walking Street Market held on every Saturday and Sunday evening, also known as Saturday walking street market or Saturday market (on Wualai Road), and as Sunday walking street market or Sunday market (on Ratchadamnoen Road). Day 6: Chiang Mai – Cooking Class & Eagle Track Zipline Adventure (B/L/-)
After breakfast, be picked up at your hotel and go to a local market to buy fresh food for the cooking class. After the market tour, start a private cooking class with demonstration and hands-on experience at a local cooking school/restaurant. Lunch with what you have just cooked. After the cooking class, you’ll have opportunities to walk around the herb garden where you can see lots of herb trees and Thai fruits, and listen to the chef explain about the herbs growing and ingredients.
This afternoon, transfer to The Eagle Track Zipline Adventure located under an hour outside of Chiang Mai city center, situated between three hill tribe villages up in the hillside with paddy fields and the Maeram River flowing below. Upon arrival, take part in the ultimate rush with 9 ziplines to fly down and up to 30 kilometers per hour. For experienced zipliners, try performing the “Superman” move arms and legs spread eagle as you shoot down the line, hooked in from behind to keep your hands free. 20 platforms including afford a birds’ eye view of the surrounding jungle and breathtaking scenery all around you. Day 7: Chiang Mai half day tour with Doi Suthep and Phu Ping Palace – Afternoon fly to Krabi (B/L/-)
After breakfast, check out yourn hotel and drive up Doi (Mount) Suthep to visit Wat Phrathad Doi Suthep built in 1383 on Doi Suthep (3500 feet above sea – level), is the symbol of Chiangmai. It is the most sacred temple in the city and contains the holy relic of the Lord Buddha which is enshrined in the magnificent golden pagoda with a challenging flight of over 300 steps, flanked by enormous mythological Nagas. A panoramic view of the city and the surrounding countryside can be seen from the temple grounds. Continue to visit Phu Ping Palace, their Majesties’ Winter Palace (4000 feet above sea level), 4 km beyond Wat Phra That Doi Suthep on Doi Buak Ha. This royal winter palace was built in 1962 with the lavishly landscaped gardens and grounds. Lunch is at a local restaurant.
Return to the downtown for having lunch before transfering to the airport for your flight to Krabi. Upon arrival, be taken to the hotel for check-in and leisure time. Overnight in Krabi
