Hi Tu,I finally had an opportunity to call the Sullivans and received a glowing rave review of the trip and your guides. Thanks for creating another wonderful adventure for my clients.Mary
Drenda, took the time to understand our needs, desires and budget and then in turn worked with another, region specific travel company to put together our itinerary. That company "Adventures in Asia" worked with us to develop and fine tune our itinerary, book inter Asian travel, arrange visas, hire drivers and guides, suggest vaccinations (which are extensive and expensive), provide tipping and other cultural guidance and a host of other things. They created a detailed itinerary which included details like which meals we would be eating and where, details on the hotels, suggested packing lists, and much more. They have been responsive to our requests for changes even while here, staying in touch with us daily via WhatsApp. Their coordinator has passed along details of our trip and evolution of the journey to each guide and we've found that as we arrived, they were fully informed about us. We paid for services through them called "Fast Pass" which allows you to move to the front of immigration lines and they have had someone meet us inside the airports to escort us through immigration, help with bags, etc. and deliver us outside the secure zone to our new guide. When we leave a city, they escort us through check in and to security. Frankly, I've never been taken care of like this and I can see that it could become addictive! Travel is a great deal of fun and discovery and eureka moments are a part of that. The downside of being in a place where the language is different than yours and you can't even puzzle out the signs because the script is different is stressful. Adventures Asia has just about entirely eliminated that. Recently, I had someone tell me that I'm demanding. My response was that I agreed with that and that if it was a problem for them, they should go elsewhere as I make no apologies for it. Excellence isn't achieved without expectation and adherence to high standards. These people get it. I'm impressed and would recommend them to anyone with similar values.”
Myself, my father, and brother went to Thailand and Cambodia through Adventures Asia for a 10 day trip that included Phi Phi Island, Siem Reap, and Bangkok. Due to being very busy with work before the trip, we left the trip planning entirely up to Adventures Asia, and it surely did not disappoint. The tour guides chosen by the agency were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and were with us every step of the way. We had tour guides in Siem Reap and Bangkok, and they were very knowledgeable of the history as well as Asian culture questions we had. They made it their personal goal to make sure we had a good experience and had all of our questions answered. Second, the itinerary chosen was spectacular. I do not think you will find an itinerary as detail oriented, well thought out, and immersive as the itinerary chosen by Adventures Asia. Many agencies I’m sure will simply throw you on a bus and call it quits for the day. Not Adventures Asia. We found the best parts of the trip to be the bike rides and four wheeler rides through the country side that really gave us a look into Cambodian and Thai culture. Thirdly, the detail that went into EVERY aspect of the trip was second to none. The vans for our excursions were always on time, water bottles and face wipes for us at every point, and the lunch and food locations chosen by the agency were delicious. This is a detail oriented first class outfit that truly cares about its customers and will personally ensure that you have a memorable experience.
Jeff and I cannot thank you both enough for our extraordinary trip to Thailand! Every detail, every guide who helped us, every adventure we enjoyed was just perfect in every way! It was so apparent to both of us how much careful planning went in to organizing this trip, and we are just so grateful.Leslie, your suggestion of flying Premium Economy was such a good one for that long trip, and our connections were all so comfortable and easy to manage. Thank you! Tu, you did such an exceptional job in listening to exactly what kind of experiences we were hoping to have, and you did an excellent job in setting them up. Our trip to Bangkok was really special because of our guide Kenny; he was SO knowledgeable, experienced, warm, funny and kind and we appreciated him so much! Prung, our guide in Chiang Mai, was just lovely and so helpful, and Jackie and Lin (who were more transport guides) were also really great men. Our trip to the Patara elephant sanctuary and the Lanna Family cooking class were two of our favorite activities – so special! – and our time on Koh Lipe was really enjoyable with great snorkeling. To finish our trip with a stay at the Rayavadee in Krabi was just exceptional – what a gorgeous resort, and such lovely staff! – and we our day at Koh Hong while there was really fun. All in all, just a fantastic trip!We are already thinking how we'd love to next visit Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia, as soon as schedule and budget allows! It sounds like November is a great time to be there. So now back to work with our heads and hearts full of great memories! My sister is coming to visit this weekend and we are going to make a Thai dinner for her with our new cooking skills! With great appreciation,
The Tour went really well.My first guide was Johnny. He is very knowledgeable and taught me a lot about Vietnam. Stories and History, Johnny is a tireless raconteur. He really made my time time In Saigon, in the Delta and at Cu Chi very interesting and fun. He also took me out of the way to a rice paddy and to a rubber plantation when I asked about them.Tuan was also very flexible and after a wonderful tour of Hue that he knows so well, we want to Hoy An by this amazing Coast road that is spectacular. When I talked about my interest in Cham Culture, he added on the agenda the Cham Museum in Da Nang. I really loved that visit. Hoy An was all about My Son that we could enjoy without tourists early morning. That was a treat. Also liked a lot the bicycle tour in the rice paddies and the vegetable gardens. I realize that at this point, I would have liked a day on the beach in Da Nang instead of a 2nd night in Hoy An, but I had said NO to beaches when preparing the trip. So this is all my fault. The boat cruise in Halong Bay was great. I just wonder why our boat had to stop with so many other boats for the night, while there were so many other places to stop with no boats around.Ha was my guide in Hanoï. He accomplished his job very well. There was a lot to see there and I also tried to have time on my own to enjoy the city by myself and go to a Water Puppet show by the lake or do some shopping. The drivers were all excellent, and very prudent. Always on time and very pleasant.I have one question: Are there also Women Tour Guides, because it could be nice to alternate and hear also the point of view of women in Vietnam. I met on my own a young woman student for an hour in Hue. She came to me as I was walking along the Perfume River and started a conversation with me. We had a wonderful talk together. Also a woman tour guide on the boat in Halong Bay. And the guide who took me to the airport in Hanoï. Each time, I had great conversations with them and I learned a lot.Thank you for closely following my trip in Vietnam and making sure that I was safe and happy.Merry Christmas and HappyNew Year! Anne
If I had to sum up this clients experience with Adventures Asia in just a few words, it would be AMAZING, FANTASTIC and WELL RUN. What was most appreciated was the attention to detail from start to finish, from when we began the booking process to the interaction with the guides…every one of them. They all spoke English very well and as some even went to school in the U.S., they were also familiar with the idioms and innuendos of our American language.Mostly these clients were impressed with how flexible the guides were if/when there was an itinerary request/change on their part. It was never a problem and every request was met without issue…(not that there were any outlandish requests of course!) Many times they were grateful (and thrilled) for being clients of Adventures Asia…especially those times when the guides would just walk in to a crowded restaurant, speak to the host/hostess and they would jump the VERY LONG line with just a nod! But that’s what being a client of Adventures Asia really means! When Duke stopped by to say hello mid-trip to greet everyone and to put a face to all the names, they all really appreciated that. From Tu here in the U.S., and Duke and his team in Vietnam, they ALL made ME look like such a HERO & ROCK STAR! When this client first asked what company I used for Vietnam, I said Adventures Asia exclusively. I pointed out how wonderful they are and that there is great “attention to detail” and that they are “pretty flexible” These were the TWO things that this client most appreciated and remembered while travelling with Adventures Asia.It was a most successful trip for this family of eight!Thank you all again, Josephine
