Itinerary

Day 1: Chiang Rai arrival. Check in Four Season Tented Camp Golden Triangle (D)

Upon arrival at Chiang Rai airport, meet up with the representative of Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle and you will be taken to the resort for check-in and relaxation.

Day 2: Chiang Rai with Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle (B,L,D)

Today take part in tours arranged by Four Seasons Tented Camp Resort such as Elephant Interaction, Hall Of Opium, Chiang Rai temple tour…as well as the resort’s facilities and amenities. (Inclusive of three-night adventure package)

Day 3: Chiang Rai with Golden Triangle, Chiang Saen, Hall of Opium (B,L,D)

Today take part in tours arranged by Four Seasons Tented Camp Resort such as Elephant Interaction, Hall Of Opium, Chiang Rai temple tour…as well as the resort’s facilities and amenities. (Inclusive of three-night adventure package)

Day 4: Chiang Rai – Drive about 4 hours to Chiang Mai. Check in Four Seasons Resorts Chiang Mai (B,L)

This morning is free at leisure.

This afternoon, meet up with your guide and enjoy a scenic drive for 3-hours to Chiang Mai with stops en route for a visit to Wat Long Khoom and opportunities to take photos and meet with locals for interaction. On arrival, transfer to Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai for check-in and enjoy the balance of your time at leisure.

Day 5: Chiang Mai – Doi Suthep & Leisure Biking Tour (B,L)

After breakfast, drive up Doi (Mount) Suthep for possibly a soft hike if interested to visit Wat Phrathad Doi Suthep built in 1383 on Doi Suthep (3500 feet above sea – level), is the symbol of Chiangmai. It is the most sacred temple in the city and contains the holy relic of the Lord Buddha which is enshrined in the magnificent golden pagoda with a challenging flight of over 300 steps, flanked by enormous mythological Nagas. A panoramic view of the city and the surrounding countryside can be seen. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

This afternoon, drive to a meeting point in the downtown where you will hop on your bike and leave out on the streets of the town. Traffic is light around that time as you begin your journey south, following the Ping River downstream. The ride is pleasant and green due to the proximity of the river. You also ride past various fruit orchards and encounter the Thai way of life as you weave your way through villages and farmland on the outskirts of Chiang Mai. Then transfer back to Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai for relaxation.

Day 6: Chiang Mai – Doi Inthanon National Park (full day) (B,L)

After breakfast, drive about 2.30 hours to Doi Inthanon National Park – one of Thailand’s most famous National Parks, passing different scenery including villages, communities, rice fields, fruits orchards and etc.

Upon arrival at Inthanon Mountain, also known as “The Roof of Thailand”, visit the highest summit of Thailand, 8415 feet (2,565 meters) above sea level. Find the remains of the previous king of Chiang Mai enshrined here; then, hike along the Angka Luang Natural trail to a lookout where you can enjoy the forest from above, covered with lichens and wild orchids. You might even catch a glimpse of some rare species of birds along the trail.

Then continue the trip with a visit to the twin pagodas (Phra Mahathat Napha Methanidon and Phra Mahathat Naphaphon Bhumisiri), built for King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit to commemorate their fifth cycle birthdays. Each pagoda also enshrines Buddha’s relics. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, visit the famous Karen Hill Tribe village, where the villagers make their living growing rice and the coffee. Visit the rice terrace and coffee orchard; then taste some fresh coffee, before continuing to Wachirathan Waterfall to enjoy the scenery. Return to Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai for relaxation.

Day 7: Chiang Mai – Departure (B)

Today is free at leisure until you will be picked up and be driven to Chiang Mai airport for your departure flight or to next destination. Trip ends!
